Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. Barone was also a part-time cast member of Carol & Company, starring as Carol Burnett in the early 90s. Barone also played the ex-wife of Carol Willick Ross Geller during her first appearance on Friends. She left the show as she was seeking a more full-time role she was replaced with Jane Sibbett. Barone was a part of The Jeff Foxworthy Show from 1995 until 1996, and The War at Home from 2005 to 2007. In 2000, Barone played a part in the show Daddio.
